St Ives September Festival 2022

St Ives September Festival returns 10th-24th September 2022. Enjoy two weeks of music, art and poetry beside the sea...

Take a break in one of our luxury seaside rooms, and join in the vast spectrum of art, literature, food and music produced right on our doorstep.

Several favourite Festival features are already confirmed for 2022 with folk rock legends Lindisfarne playing the opening night.

Madcap duo John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett will also be making another appearance, more than 40 years after they first appeared on The Old Grey Whistle Test and less than 12 months since they last appeared in St Ives!

West Country folk star Seth Lakeman, Cornish singer Will Keating and Cornwall shanty singers Bryhers Boys will all be performing at St Ia Church.

Indie folk singers Long For The Coast will be returning to St Ives Arts Club after appearing there last year.

Rhythm and blues greats Dr Feelgood and American folk icon Peggy Seeger are also heading to The Guildhall for the 15-day festival of music and arts, which bounced back last year after being cancelled in 2020 because of Covid restrictions. The Guildhalls line-up also includes singer-songwriter Emily Barker, who wrote and performed the theme to the BBC’s hugely successful crime drama Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh.

Also appearing will be British and American roots music exponents Brooks Williams and Dan Walsh, Cornish folk rockers The Countrymen, Irish band FOS Brothers, blues singer Laurence Jones and the Fleetwood Mac Songbook, returning to The Guildhall for the final night of the Festival following their sell-out appearance there in 2021.

Away from the music, there will be the usual mix of art and poetry.
