5 Great Reasons to Visit Cornwall in Winter

In the wake of a lovely hot summer, it can be easy to miss the warm weather. But we think winter is a wonderful time to visit us, and here’s why…

Quiet beaches

While many favour Cornwall's summer allure, the true gem unveils itself in the quieter months when crowds disperse.

Away from the bustling summer scene, the region transforms into a serene haven, allowing visitors to experience the captivating essence of its landscapes without the distractions of a bustling crowd. Winter's embrace paints a different, quieter canvas in Cornwall, offering an intimate connection with its beauty that is often overlooked during the more popular summer season.

A roaring fire

Is there anything cosier than snuggling up in front of a fire with a good book and a warm drink?

The chilly weather is the perfect excuse to hunker down and enjoy the warmth of the indoors, particularly if you’re returning from a bracing beach walk. If you’re staying with us, be sure to head to our cosy lounge where the fire will be lit and ready to welcome you.

Hearty food

With the arrival of winter comes wholesome, hearty menus filled with feel-good comfort favourites.

With the change in season, we’ll be mixing up our food offerings to reflect the new season, using the very best produce that Cornwall has to offer. Sit back, relax, and indulge in the seasonal flavours.

Coastal walks

When it comes to walking in this area you have the choice of coastal walks with sweeping ocean views from rugged cliff tops and woodland trails filled with the sights of winter.

There are hundreds of miles of footpaths to explore including the South West Coastal Path which you can join from Carbis Bay. Twin this with fewer people and you could have a stretch of coast path all to yourself.

A soothing spa break

In need of a warming winter getaway? Our Winter Spa, Dine & Stay Break offers a chance to escape to the Cornish coast to relax and recharge in a quieter, calmer Cornwall.
