Blue Flag
We have been awarded Blue Flag status in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010/11, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 for our privately-owned 25-acre beach.
Seaside Award
We have been awarded Keep Britain Tidy’s Seaside Award for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022
AA Eco Hotel of the Year 2019
The Eco Hotel Awards is awarded to the hotel which has demonstrated a clear and dedicated commitment to sustainability. Owner Stephen Baker said “We are absolutely delighted to have been honoured with this award – showing our dedication and commitment to the environment now, and for generations to come.”
Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence
Carbis Bay Estate has been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2019, which is the eighth consecutive year that we have received this prestigious award. TripAdvisor awards a Certificate of Excellence to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers.
Carbis Bay Estate qualified for the Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame 2019, having earned a Certificate of Excellence every year for the past five years.
South West Tourism Excellence Awards 2018/19
We were delighted to receive a bronze in the Spa & Wellbeing Experience category and the hotel was highly commended in the Large Hotel category.
Quality & Tourism Awards Five Star Gold 2019
2018 saw us awarded 5 stars by the newly appointed Quality in Tourism standards and we were delighted to be awarded the first 5 star Gold Award in Cornwall in 2019.
UK Wedding Award Winner 2018
We are delighted to share that Carbis Bay Hotel, Spa & Estate has been crowned the winner of the Best Coastal Wedding Venue category in The UK Wedding Awards 2018.

South West Tourism Awards 2017/18
We are delighted to have been awarded Gold in Venue & Business Tourism, Silver in Spa & Wellbeing Experience and Bronze in Large Hotel of the Year categories of the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards 2017-2018.
Cornwall Tourism Awards 2018/19
We are delighted to have been presented with two Gold awards and two Silver awards in the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2018/19 – Gold for Large Hotel of the Year, Gold for Spa, Pampering and Wellbeing Experience and Silver for Self Catering Accommodation of the Year and Venue and Business Tourism and Venue – highlighting excellence across Carbis Bay Hotel, Spa & Estate.
South West England Tourism Award 2016/17
We are honoured to have been awarded three bronze awards in the Spa & Wellbeing Experience, Self-Catering Holiday Provider of the Year and Venue & Business Tourism categories of the South West England Tourism Excellence Awards 2016-2017.
Carbis Bay Hotel was awarded Silver in the Large Hotel of the Year and Bronze in the Venue and Business categories in the 2015-2016 awards.
Good Spa Guide
Our C Bay Spa has been awarded 5 ‘bubbles’ from the Good Spa Guide for the third consecutive year - 2015, 2016 and 2017, meaning our facilities are ranked amongst the top spas in the country. Additionally, we have been awarded the national award for “Best Spa for Romance” at the Good Spa Guide Awards 2015.
Two-AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence
Awarded for the 17th year running for 2017, recognising outstanding cuisine. AA Rosette: 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
